Round up. It's been a busy week for the Seizure crew, with Alice and David heading to Canberra to talk at a school writing camp and joining up with local group Scissors Paper Pen for the inaugural and experimental event: Pep Talk. (Pep Talk is basically a gathering of writers getting together to share what they are doing and receiving encouragement and advice). The event went really well - so, festival directors, consider adding a pep talk to your programming!
The make Seizure pozible campaign
is still going. We've hit enough for the website coders but the more we can get from supporters the more works we can commission from Australia's awesome talent pool.
There are rewards galore and still a few more to come, including a full set of those lovely city books by NewSouth Publishing. Consider buying a present for yourself. You've earned it.
Also up and happening:
. We have three fun, exciting and most importantly proetic projects for you to get writing for.
And VIVA LA NOVELLA
. It's off and racing. We've got four stellar editors waiting for your novella-y goodness. There will be four winners, with cash prizes of $1000 dollars to boot. Entries close the 4th of December!
So, we're going to keep it short today. It's three weeks until NYWF (be sure to say hi to Seizure crew Fiona Dunne
and Justin Wolfers
while you're there!) and five until EWF Tasmania (though we just found out only half of Tas can read
so it might be the world's first illiterature festival).
Be good, have fun!
