What do you do in your day job/life? I’m a counselling psychologist and have two small children. In between times I write, read and sleep!
What’s the earliest thing you remember writing?
A little book when I was eight about musical characters. I remember the cover of quavers waterskiing drawn in blue crayon.
When do you like to write?
During the morning. That’s my peak time.
If you could brunch with anyone, who would it be?
My favourite authors: Jeanette Winterson, Haruki Murakami and Merlinda Bobis.
Most important thing the Internet has taught you:
Anything is possible. Knowledge is everywhere you look if you know where and how to find it.
A quotation you have used more than once:
'Form is emptiness. Emptiness is form' from the Heart Sutra, one of the key texts in Buddhism. My grandfather passed away reciting this mantra. The Heart Sutra teaches us that we are all interconnected and inter-be.
Writing the next novel; an urban fantasy about Asian dragons.
