Elizabeth Bryer

In her short fiction and essays, Elizabeth Bryer writes about memory, identity and cultural imaginings, as well as the ways in which we are shaped by place, history and politics. Recent writing has appeared in The Lifted Brow, Sydney Review of Books and Best Australian Science Writing. Blood of the Dawn, her translation of Claudia Salazar Jiménez's Americas Prize–winning novel, is forthcoming from Deep Vellum Publishing in November 2016, and her translations have previously appeared in Words without Borders and Overland.
