Iksaka Banu

Born in Yogyakarta, Indonesia in 1964, and a graduate from the Bandung Institute of Technology, Iksaka Banu was a published writer of short stories and comics at an early age. As an adult, his work in advertising took him away from the world of writing until 2000 when he wrote and published a number of short stories. In 2014 he was awarded Indonesia’s Khatulistiwa Literary Prize for his anthology Semua untuk Hindia, which was subsequently translated into English and published to critical acclaim by Lontar in 2015 as A Shooting Star and Other Stories.
