By submitting materials for consideration by seizureonline.com, the Author consents and agrees to all terms and conditions outlined below:
If accepted the Submission may be electronically published on the seizureonline.com website and in the Seizure Offline publication.
Seizure cannot yet offer payment for stories but all authors of short stories accepted to Seizure will receive 5 copies of the issue in which their story appears.
Regular contributors will be offered a share of the profit from each copy sold featuring their work. (which isn't much yet, but it's the principle that matters).
All submitted works must be complete. Don't submit if you are only half-way through your story.
If the Author wishes the Submission removed from the site, the Author may request its removal via email. Seizure will remove the Submission within five business days of receipt of such a request.
This agreement shall constitute a NON-EXCLUSIVE license to publish the Submission as described above. The Author retains all other rights not expressly granted herein, including the right to redistribute and republish the Submission in its original, unedited form.
SEIZURE reserves the right to make necessary minor adjustments or changes to the work in order to conform to format specifications and/or legal requirements.
All submitted stories must be the original work of the author and not include any intellectual property of any third party (this includes song lyrics). By submitting your work, story or novel (hereinafter collectively referred to as “the Work”) for consideration by SEIZURE, you represent and warrant that you have the right and authority to convey the rights granted hereunder; that the Work is original and free and clear of any encumbrances and is not subject to any third-party agreements or arrangements that would interfere with its use.
The Author warrants that the Work is not libelous, slanderous, obscene, and does not plagiarize; and that the exercise of rights herein granted will not infringe upon any copyright, right of privacy or any other rights whatsoever of any third party.
The Author shall hold Seizure harmless and shall indemnify Seizure for all costs and expenses (including reasonable attorney fee's) in the event of a breach of any of the foregoing warranties or representations. These warranties and representations do not extend to any material not furnished by you.
SEIZURE reserves the right to reject any submission that it deems to be vulgar, profane, offensive, or inappropriate.
If your Work is not selected within 120 days you may request the removal of your Work from our archive files by emailing the request to info@xou.com.au
Without limiting other remedies, Seizure may at its sole discretion remove any Work from publication and/or dissemination if it thinks that the Work is creating problems, possible legal liabilities, or is inconsistent with the letter or spirit of Seizure’s policies, including poor writing.
Works accepted by SEIZURE may be removed at anytime due to poor performance or at the discretion of the SEIZURE committee.
No agency, partnership, joint venture, employee-employer or franchiser-franchisee relationship is intended or created by this Agreement.
A failure of either party to exercise any right provided for herein shall not be deemed to be a waiver of any right hereunder.

Comments
