You've found the home of serialized fiction and we have three exciting stories flowing out at the moment, and brand new short stories in our short-story section.
Greetings everyone and a happy new year. After 6 months of Seizure we are now entering our blue period. As we continue our tour through the spectrum we shall pass through the blues, traverse the purples and eventually we shall land on the red issue.
Issue 5 of Seizure Offline brings a couple of exciting developments, firstly the new sponsored content blog where we have a short essay from the great Robert Louis Stevenson. We are also preparing the Violin Face and The Quiet Darkness for their big release later this year. So stay tuned for a new season of serial with more from Rufi Cole, David Henley and Stephen Ashworth, and new short stories from all over the world.*** Breaking News***
New short story from dark fantasy author Alan Baxter. Read the story here, and the interview on our blog.
The Violin Face by Rufi Cole
“What happened to her mom? I mean, I know she died, but I never asked Summerlyn how.”
“Summerlyn doesn’t know how,” he said.
And that’s when I started to get the creeps really bad. I’d smoked too much speed and my heart was going like a fucking rabbit kicking in my chest.
Rufi Cole is bringing literature back into fashion. With the rawness of Bukowski and the harsh reality of that guy who did "Kids", The Violin Face is cool, confronting and exposes the modern-human condition in all its undignified glory.

The Broken by Stephen Ashworth
Perhaps it was because Oan was the only one on horseback, above the rest of the crowd, or perhaps it was mere chance but as the carriage rolled past the Pretender turned away from talking with a portly merchant and their eyes locked. The Pretender’s eyes widened briefly in shock, enough that he rose from his seat to look back at Oan as the carriage slowly rumbled on.
The heart bleeds and an old evil has been reborn.
Oan's quiet life of hunting, whores and swordplay is about to be destroyed. Son of a broken nation and hope for redemption, when his home is attacked and nightmares from the past appear, he and his people must rally before all is lost.

The Quiet Darkness by David M Henley
She felt him watching her at the bar for some time and wondered what thoughts passed through his mind. Will he, won’t he? Perhaps her seductress outfit was a bit strong for him, a looking-for-a-lover black dress with viciously delicate lace bands pushed down from her elbows.
Good and evil are meaningless when you'll go to any means to win. Humans? Vampires? Sometimes they're just as bad as each other.
